Casa Cody

The romantic and historic Casa Cody Inn is the oldest operating hotel in Palm Springs. It was founded in the 1920's by the beautiful Hollywood pioneer, Harriet Cody, cousin to the legendary Buffalo Bill. Nestled against the spectacular San Jacinto mountains in the heart of Palm Springs Village, Casa Cody with its adobe hacienda architecture has decor inspired by Santa Fe and other desert cultures. Twenty-three ground level units, many with private patios and fireplaces, others with kitchens. All have cable television and private phones. Two pools and a secluded, tree-shaped whirlpool spa are on the beautifully landscaped grounds. Available now is a newly restored 1910 2-bedroom adobe villa where chrlie Chaplin played. A delightful continental breakfast is served every morning in a casual atmosphere at one of the two pools.

Ingleside Inn

The exquisite Ingleside Inn is Palm Springs' smallest full-service hotel. Fashioned from one of the desert's most dramatic estates, the Ingleside Inn has only 30 rooms, suites and villas, no two of which are alike. Here, the 20th century frantic pace stops at the wrought iron gates to the Inn. As you come up the sweeping driveway, you'll see license plates from all over the world, for the Inn has become renowned as the Palm Springs mecca for people who appreciate the finest. Each room or villa contains elegantly restored, priceless antiques, terraces and fireplaces in some (Ingleside means fireside), private steambath and whirlpools. Imagine spending your vacation with great works of art like a bust of Petrarchs Laura or a vestment chest by 15th century priests. Right on the premises is Palm Springs' most acclaimed "In" spot, Melvyn's Restaurant, elegantly upbeat along with a restored 1895 carved oak and mahogany bar. For the luxury of today with the attendant fine hospitality of yesterday, it's the Ingleside Inn!
